Additional Support Resources

Stronger After

Stronger After offers essential support for cult survivors and individuals affected by coercive control. Their mission is to alleviate suffering and halt the cycle of coercive control through free, accessible support. They provide online one-on-one support and educational classes to reach those who have been harmed and overlooked.

Participants in their free, five-unit curriculum receive personalized education on coercion in groups or relationships and tailored social psychology principles. This program is not therapy, but it equips individuals with the language and understanding to better communicate their experiences to therapists. Stronger After's experienced coaches, who have personally navigated coercive control, respect participants' privacy and journey, fostering a safe and supportive environment.

The curriculum covers:

  • Unit 1: Common challenges after leaving

  • Unit 2: Coercive environments

  • Unit 3: Boundaries and identity

  • Unit 4: Reducing anxiety, developing confidence

  • Unit 5: Moving on and getting help

Stronger After aims to expose coercive control, reduce stigma, and empower individuals to lead self-determined lives. Their goal is to help participants make sense of their experiences, build confidence, and move forward with new skills and understanding.
