Evvie Lionheart’s Resumé

Welcome to my resumé page! I’m Evvie Lionheart, and I’m excited to share my diverse professional journey with you.

I’m Evvie Lionheart, and I am more than one thing. I am many things.

I’ve navigated roles in consulting, social work, psychiatric care, career coaching, and insurance claims adjustment, each experience enriching my expertise and dedication to helping others thrive. From leading Dialectical Behavior Therapy sessions for adolescents in a psychiatric hospital, to managing intricate auto injury claims, and providing trauma-informed case management to prevent struggling families from becoming homeless, I’ve developed a multifaceted skill set of outstanding people and operations skills.

As a Certified Peer Wellness Specialist and Certified Traditional Health Worker in Oregon (license pending), trained by the Mental Health and Addiction Association of Oregon’s Project Peer program, I am currently completing a 100-hour internship with The Family Survival Trust UK (complete April 2025), supporting trauma survivors with peer support services worldwide. This work further deepens my expertise in trauma recovery, mental health support, and peer-led care, helping intentionally marginalized communities navigate complex systems.

I’ve been fortunate to train with dedicated Black, Indigenous, and People of the Global Majority (BIPOC) cohorts under the guidance of world-class experts, Master facilitators, and bestselling authors in Emergent Strategy, Racialized Somatic, and a specialized Non-violent Communication (NVC) cohort for people of the global majority. These trainings have profoundly shaped my approach to advocacy and healing. Learn more about my trainings here.

As the founder of Emergent Phoenix, my work bridges somatic facilitation, climate resilience, and trauma-aware leadership to support individuals and organizations navigating ecological and geopolitical uncertainty. I specialize in integrating nervous system regulation with climate communication, conservation, and public health initiatives to foster sustainable engagement and collective action.

One of my key projects is Somatic Climate Resilience & Communication, a pioneering approach that applies trauma-aware facilitation to conservation, climate journalism, and public health advocacy. By combining somatic practices with narrative strategy, I help organizations design communication that moves beyond fear and denial, engaging communities in meaningful, solution-oriented dialogue.

In my international consulting and coaching work, I provide training on somatic resilience for climate advocates, public health professionals, and frontline conservationists. I design workshops and peer support models that address climate grief, burnout, and the challenges of long-term activism.

I’ve presented groundbreaking calls to action at the 2022 ICSA annual conference, advocating for further research for cult survivors of color. This showcased my strong communication and analytical skills.

I’ve orchestrated restorative justice processes and designed capacity-building programs that significantly increased organizational programming and recruitment. My work reflects goal setting, decision-making, and strategic planning abilities.

My expertise also extends to trauma-informed leadership and collective care. Through my work with climate and social justice organizations, I guide teams in cultivating embodied leadership practices, fostering resilience, and integrating accessibility into their strategies.

As a seasoned facilitator, I have led trainings and presented research on the intersection of trauma, climate communication, and social justice, ensuring that climate movements and conservation efforts center equity, inclusion, and sustainability.

From developing peer support networks for climate activists to advising on public health responses to climate-related trauma, my work highlights a deep commitment to justice-driven, community-centered solutions.
